Santa Barbara City College's Sciences Division includes five separate departments and offers a comprehensive curriculum that contributes to SBCC's reputation as a world-class educational facility. The Sciences curriculum would be described best as academic, as opposed to vocational, programs in the natural sciences, engineering and computer science. Our programs are designed to offer the strongest preparation for transfer. We view our programs as the first two years of a four-year baccalaureate degree. SBCC students enjoy great success transferring to top four-year colleges and universities. The feed-back we receive from these institutions regarding the preparedness of our students has been exceptional; their best students are frequently ours.
